Portfolio : les meilleurs moments des Héros de la Puya !

The second edition of the "Heroes of the Puya", which took place last Friday on the outskirts of Annecy, has kept all its promises. Well beyond a race against the slope, time and the others, this short and intense format was a great pretext for push your limits, share a moment of conviviality and bringing the Annecy cycling community to life.

6 p.m., Colmyr car park in Annecy. As we arrive at the foot of the climb, on the small road that leads to Boulevard de la Corniche and serves a few hamlets in the south of the city, everyone sets off one by one in an effort to make their faces convulse, their thighs explode, and their synapses split. Welcome to the Puya path, its half-kilometer climb, its average gradient of 10% which winds through the trees, its two successive turns which rear up at 20%. Half a kilometer is a long way to go when you're suffering.

There are those who know the climb by heart, having scouted it out in advance to prepare their heads and legs. And others who opted for the element of surprise and are only just discovering what awaits them. Warned or not, whether it's solitary passages or group launches, everyone will adopt more or less the same formula: start fast, accelerate, finish flat out.

"There are no heroes without an audience.", as the saying goes. And it is for these reasons that we must thank all the people who came to enjoy the spectacle and highlight the energy deployed, particularly around turn 3. And the volunteers who made this second edition possible. They were the Heroes of the Puya #2. It was good.
